Reuters - Colombian athlete Caterine Ibarguen spoke to the press in Bogota on Monday (December 10) a week after being named the best female athlete in the world by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). It's been a good year for Ibarguen, who won the long and triple jumps at the Central American and Caribbean Games, the IAAF Continental Cup and at the IAAF Diamond League finals. Ibarguen, who already has several Olympic medals under her belt, said she is now going to begin focusing on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. " I think my view is going to be on Tokyo 2020. That's my pledge to my country, my pledge to the Olympic Committee and my pledge to myself," she said. Ibarguen, who is 34 years old, competes in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.
