Fight for justice postponed!

COLOMBO (News 1st): Leader of the United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe made a statement to the media today (December 10) and said that the UNP will carry out an operation to show "the power of the people". The protest march which was titled "Fight for justice" was set to take place on Wednesday. The UNP leader said that he was informed by the attorneys that the Supreme Court decision will be given by Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. He said that he spoke to other civil organizations and made a request, saying an operation will be carried out to show the power of the people after the final court verdict is announced. Wickremesinghe said that the operation will be carried out following the verdict as it is "pointless to have one now and another after the verdict". He announced that the UNP has decided conduct the "operation" next week.
