Rainfall to continue over the coming days

COLOMBO (News 1st) - In it's latest weather advisory the Department of Meteorology said that the prevailing showery condition will continue. The is due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the Bay of Bengal to the South-east of Sri Lanka. Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Northern, Eastern, North-central and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district while the rest of the island will experience showers after 2.00 pm. Light showers may also occur in the Galle and Matara coastal area while misty conditions may also occur in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces.
