President advices Ministerial secretaries to ensure flow of functions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena has instructed all Ministry Secretaries to ensure the uninterrupted function of public service without any hindrance regardless of the Court of Appeal issuing an interim order restraining the respondents from functioning as the prime minister, cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, and state ministers. The President's Media Unit issuing a statement said, this morning the President held a Special Meeting with the Secretaries of All Ministries. The Statement adds that the President has instructed the Public Sector, Tri-Forces, and the Police to continue their service towards national security and fulfill their duties and responsibilities towards the public.
