Two apprehended with illegal firearms

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two suspects have been arrested for the possession of three illegal firearms in Ambalangoda. The Police stated that the suspects had been arrested in a raid conducted by the officers attached to the Kaluthara Crimes division. The preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects both aged 21 are connected to a large number of crimes in Galle and Moronthuduwa. Officers of the Crimes division have seized three firearms, five ammunition, a motor vehicle, a van and also a motorbike from among the suspect's possession. The suspects are residents of Wathugedara, Ambalangoda. They are due to be presented before the Kaluthara Magistrate Courts today (December 03).
