Three wheeler fares reduced by Rs. 10

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Three-wheeler fares will be reduced by Rs. 10 with effect from midnight today (December 02). Chairman of the National Association of Self-employed Professionals, Sunil Jayawardena, said that thereby the amount charged for the first kilometre will be reduced from Rs. 60 to Rs. 50. Jayawardene noted that the price reduction was brought into effect due to the reduction of fuel prices on a number of occasions. He further said that the Consumer Affairs Authority will be notified to take legal action against the drivers who do not reduce the three wheel fares by midnight today (December 02).
