Petition signing at Sri Vishnu Devalaya

Colombo (News1st): The petition that is being signed requesting to hold a parliamentary election immediately took place at the Sri Vishnu Devalaya this morning. The petition which needs 5 million signatures is organized by the Pevidi Handa Organization. Chairman of the Pevidi Handa Organization Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda thero said that their hope is to elect intelligent and decent members of parliament and let them rebuild the country again. He noted that to rebuild the country election should be held. A large crowd gathered at the Sri Vishnu Devalaya in Devundara when the petition was signed. The petition was also signed before the Matara Bodhiya and Seenigama Devalaya.
