13 prison inmates to sit for G.C.E. O/L

Colombo (News1st): 656,641 students will sit for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination this year in 4661 exam centers. The exams will begin on the 03rd of December and will continue on till the 12th. Out of the 656,641 students, 13 of them are prison inmates who will be sitting for exams in Weliakada, Watareka and Magazine Prison. Meanwhile, nearly 560 children with special needs in Matara, Galle, and Tangalle will sit the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination this time. A student who is being treated at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama, as well as a student who is being treated for dengue at the Peradeniya hospital, are scheduled to face this year's exam. Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of Examinations stated reports circulating saying that the correction of answer scripts will take place on the 25th of December is false, as it is a public holiday.
