Colombo (News1st): The vote-on-account, prepared by the ministry of finance seeking to facilitate government spending during the first four months of 2019, has been approved in the cabinet.

Speaking to the media Co Cabinet spokesperson Mahinda Samarasinghe noted that the vote-on-account will allocate Rs. 760 billion to maintain public services for the first four months in 2019, another Rs. 970 billion has been allocated for the approved expenses and finally Rs. 5 billion has been assigned for advance accounts of the government.

He stated that therefore the vote-on-account was passed for Rs. 1735 billion.
