Colombo (News 1st) - UNP Representatives of Local Government were called to the temple trees today. At the meeting, Deputy leader of the UNP Sajith Premadasa addressed the gathering. He noted that the current government is boasting that they salvaged a country that was deteriorating. He noted that however, it is a shame to say that the money allocated to construct 2500 Uda Gammana projects in the country have been stopped and recalled back to the treasury. He stated that the group that robbed the power to govern, are taking care of themselves. Further, he stated that through the victories that they hope to achieve they will give back the money that was allocated to build houses. He noted that they will provide the Samurdhi to the poor people. He went on to note that Karu Jayasuriya rejected the position of Prime Minister on 13 instances and that he, himself rejected the position of the Prime Minister on 10 occasions, based on a political discipline.
