Ranil or MR should not be the PM, they are not even tradeable for money - JVP

Colombo (News 1st) - The JVP Convened a media briefing in Colombo today. MP Sunil Handunetti stated that the cabinet with no majority has decided to award the terminal contract to the China Harbour company, and the ports' operations worth 25.7 million USD to another Shanghai company, on the other hand that they are requesting for another US $500 million from the China development bank. He then notes that provisions have been allocated in the appropriations act, only until the 31st of December. Former Provincial councillor, Wasantha Samarasinghe stated that he challenges President Maithripala Sirisena to expose the bond commission report. He stated that the President cannot reveal the report as it includes names of individuals in the presidential secretariat. He went on to state that the second bond commission must be appointed immediately to identify bribery and corruption that took place during the past three and half years. He stated that Ranil Wickremesinghe during his tenure,  tried to benefit as much as possible, and the current government is making plans to do the same. MP Handunannethi notes that Ranil Wickremesinghe or Mahinda Rajapaksa should not be appointed as the Prime Minister and that they are not tradeable even for a sum of money. When questioned on whether Sampanthan should also leave office if there is no solid government, Wasantha stated that an opposition exists and that his leadership continues. The journalist notes that there cannot be an opposition with no government, to which Hadunnethi stated that they are the opposition.
