1. Namal Kumara released an audio tape containing a recording of Ranjith Maddumabandara in relation to the assassination plot of President Maithripala Sirisena and the Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa. 

2. President Maithripala Sirisena will chair the Central Committee meeting of the SLFP today (November 26).

3. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in a special statement yesterday (November 25) requested everyone to join hands to defeat the forces seeking to destroy the country by not holding elections.

4. All Police DIG’s have been summoned to the Presidential Secretariat for a discussion with President Maithripla Sirisena today (November 26).

5. The Sri Lankan Army revealed that almost 1300 acres of private land in the North and the East are still in their custody. The Army has handed over 95% of land previously occupied by them to the original owners.

6. In a special operation, 179 individuals with arrest warrants against them were arrested in the Western Province yesterday (November 25).

7. The landslide warning issued for Kegalle, Ratnapura, Kaluthara and Colombo is still in effect.

8. Three shops were destroyed due to a fire that had erupted last night (November 25) in Panadura. No casualties were reported.

9. Three police teams have been deployed to investigate the brutal murder of a 19-year old that took place in Matara.

10. Minister Bandula Gunawardene said that the government is working on a plan to stop the depreciation of the rupee and appreciate the rupee to Rs. 160 against the dollar within the year.
