COLOMBO (News 1st) – The case against Wimal Weerawansa that was taken up by the Colombo High Court was postponed to January 14th today (November 26). The High Court ordered to postpone the trial until the report on the computer data evidence produced by the prosecution is received.
The case filed against Wimal Weerawansa was for allegedly earning Rs. 75 million by unknown means other than his lawful earnings during his tenure as a Minister under the former Government.
The case was filed by the Bribery Commission and he appeared in court today (November 26) when the case was taken up by the Colombo High Court judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi.
