COLOMBO (News 1st) – Chief Justice Nalin Perera has appointed a 07 member bench to examine the petitions that have been filed challenging the gazette notification on the dissolution of Parliament.

The bench comprises, Chief Justice Nalin Perera, Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Sisira De Abrew, Priyantha Jayawardena, Prasanna Jayawardena, Vijith Malalgoda and Murdu Fernando.

The Chief Justice appointed the seven-member bench taking into consideration the request made by Udaya Gammanpila and four others appearing as intervenors in the petitions.

The petitions will be examined from the 04th of December.
