'Voice of Justice for Democracy' in Kandy raised concern on political chaos

Colombo (News 1st) - The inaugural rally of the series of rallies organized against the government by the United National Party was held in Kandy today. The rally which was presided by UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe was held under the theme "Voice of Justice for Democracy." Dr. Rajitha Senaratne addressing the crowd stated that the President said that he will publish a book titled Unsuccessful Political Journey with Ranil. He stated that they will also author a book titled the greatest betrayal in the country after the betrayal of the Kandyan Convention. He went on to note that they will make the broadest alliance in the country against Maithripala and his clan and that they will raid the Presidents secretariat and the President's residence. MP Patali Champika Ranawaka addressing the crowd stated that on the 29th of this month they will bring a proposal to cut off the funding of the Prime Minister Office illegally run by Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Prime Minister's secretary. He then stated that on the 30th they will bring a motion against the offices of those fake ministers and to tell Mahinda Rajapaksa that they do not want an election under his 'chilli powder' democracy. MP Patali stated that it will be four years on the 8th of January and that they ask MR to come for a Presidential election then, call for a general election as well. "We are ready to defeat Maithri and Mahinda together." Deputy Leader of UNP Sajith Premadasa stated that they challenge the current government to bring a no-confidence motion against the speaker. He stated that Karu Jayasuriya's name will be written in gold in the history books as the most eminent speaker in the history of the country who protected democracy. Sajith Premadasa also spoke on the Uda Gammana program that was conducted by his Ministry. He noted that he had formulated plans to create 2500 Uda Gammana by the 31st of December 2019 and that it's disappointing to say that as of the 26th of October all the Uda Gammana programs conducted by the Ministry have been banned. The housing loans have been cancelled. He stated that their goal was to establish 2500 villages followed by 5000 more villages and then 10,000 villages and in the fourth phase another 2500 villages. And by 2020 the total number of Uda Gammana would have been 20,000. He stated that as the new government grabbed power they brought in all assets of the Ministry of Housing into the countries treasury. He then noted that 'if the Leader of our party and the central working committee tell us to take one step we are ready to take one hundred steps and put our lives on the line to save the general public of our beloved motherland.'
