COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Customs stated that issues have arisen due to several trading companies failing to update their computers in line with the Customs computer system.
Deputy Director of IT & Information, Sudath Silva, said that this has resulted in the slowdown of operations at Customs.
He said that the Customs Computer System was updated a few months ago and that the respective companies were also informed to update the computers simultaneously.
He also added that 1000 - 1200 trading companies connect to the network of the customs computer system on a daily basis.
