Uniform materials for school children on the 15th January

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Uniform materials for the new academic year will be given to school children on the 15th of January 2019. Meanwhile, the principals of all schools have been informed to release the results of the third term examinations before the school holidays begin. Additional Secretary of the Ministry, M. M. Rathnayake stated that nearly 80% of school textbook distribution for the new year has been completed while the distribution of books for all government schools has already been completed. School principals have been informed to notify the Education department in case of any issues that arise in the distribution. The third term is due to end on the 30th of November, while schools will be reopened on the 2nd of January.
