Rains of 100 mm to be expected in the North

Colombo (News1st): The Meteorological Department forecasted 100mm rains in the Northern Province owing to the low-pressure area forming in the South Eastern part of the Bay of Bengal. Meteorologist Kasun Pasquel stated that an increase in the rainy condition in the island can be expected as a result. The Met department further advised fishermen from Mullaitivu to Kankasanthurei, through Mannar, to refrain from faring out to sea.
