More rainfall in the forthcoming days : Met Department

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology forecasted a rainfall of over 150mm for several areas in the Northern, Eastern, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces today (November 20). The rest of the island will experience a rainfall of over 100 mm during the day. The Met department has adviced coastal communities in Kankasanthurei and Mulathiuvu to refrain from faring out to sea on the next 48 hours. Assistant Director of the Department of Fisheries, Padmapriya Tissera stated that all boats that had gone out to sea from those areas have been called back to the shore.
