President pleased with "peaceful" parliamentary session

COLOMBO (News 1st): President Maithripala Sirisena expressed his deep appreciation to all MPs and party leaders for concluding today's (November 19) parliamentary session peacefully. The President's Media Division issued a statement saying that President is pleased to know that all political parties agreed to stand by the instructions given by the Head of State during the All Party Meeting held yesterday (November 18). According to the statement, the President has turned his attention towards the conflicts created in Parliament following the "constitutional appointments" of the new Prime Minister and Cabinet.
