IGP orders the police to maintain peace in country

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Inspector General of Police has ordered all police officers to take appropriate measures to maintain law and order in the country.
Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the IGP gave these instructions in light of the current political unrest.
He said that to date a few minor incidents were reported.
