Permanent Trial at Bar take up Gamini Senarath Case

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The case filed against Former President's Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath and three others for the criminal misappropriation of Rs. 500 Million from Litro Gas Company was taken up at the Permanent High Court Trial at Bar today (November 15). The trial is due to continue daily with effect from today. President's Counsel Kalinga Indatissa who was listed as the first witness in the complaint provided evidence today. Recording of evidence was fixed for 09:30 am tomorrow (November 16) and notice was issued on the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and the 7th witnesses in the complaint to appear in court tomorrow. Further at court today defendant Neil Bandara Hapuhinna was warned to refrain from chewing gum while in the box at a time when evidence was being recorded.
