G. S. Withanage appointed as new chairman of Sri Lankan airlines

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation G. S. Withanage has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lankan Airlines. In a media release, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs stated that the appointment was made by Secretary to the Treasury S. R. Attygalle. Meanwhile, Kapila Chandrasena who was appointed as the Chairman for the national carrier yesterday (November 13) has reportedly resigned from the position.
