Elect the proper people into Parliament

Colombo (News1st) - Former Parliamentarian Vidura Wickramanayake convened a media briefing at his residence today and called on the general public to elect the proper people into parliament no matter which party they are from. Wickramanayake reiterated his call to the President and the Prime Minister to bring the culprits behind the Central Bank Bond Scam before the law. He called on the authorities to bring back former Central Bank Governor, Arjuna Mahendran who has been implicated in this scam and also to bring before the law former Ministers and MPs who have been linked to the scam including former PM Ranil Wickremesinghe. While stating that this is what the people of the country expect of them, the former MP stated that individuals of the SLFP and the UPFA who engaged in nefarious activities before the January 2015 should also be brought before the law.
