Tissa Attanayake to make a comeback into national politics

Colombo (News 1st) - Former General Secretary of the UNP Tissa Attanayake states that he will be contesting the upcoming general election. However, the former Minister is yet to announce the party under which he would be contesting. Attanayake noted that he has remained out of politics for 3 and a half years that the time is right to return to the arena. He promised to reveal his party within 48 hours while hinting that he has a good idea which way the country is heading. He noted that he has several issued to be sorted out before he announces wether he will return to the UNP or join the SLPP.
