Namal Rajapaksa and several SLFP members join SLPP

Colombo (News 1st) - Amidst all of the chaos in the political arena, several former MPs used their Twitter accounts to announce the party under which they will be contesting the next general election. Ministers representing the United Peoples Freedom Alliance stated that they will contest the elections under a party name and symbol that is favored by the people. Minister Susil Premajayantha speaking to the media stated that they have a vision and that they have prepared a set of policies. He noted that all of the policies are on one platform adding that the leaders are yet to decide which symbol and party to contest under. Minister of Housing and social welfare, Wimal Weerawansa also announced that the similar policyholders will contest under a symbol and party that is favored by the public.
