Uma Oya project is feasible after research - UOP

Colombo (News 1st) - A research carried out by the Department of Geology at the Univerity of Peradeniya on the geological feasibility of the Uma Oya Development project was discussed at a media briefing held today. Jagath Gunathilaka, a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Geology stated that they conducted several special types of research as soon as a water leak was evident from the Uma Oya project. He stated that all the excavations are taking place based on the report they produced after research and notes that they know how to locate and fix the leaks permanently. He also noted that the construction activities under the project won't be completed in the near future due to its size.
