Sri Lankan Navy arrests 3 with Gold worth Rs. 48 million

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lankan Navy has arrested three suspects along with 7kg of Gold worth Rs. 48 Million in Kalpitiya. The arrest was made when the Gold was being smuggled along the Ippanthiuw sea area. The suspects have been identified as residents of Kalpitiya. The Sri Lanka Navy has also seized a dingy boat used by the suspects.  They were handed over to the Department of customs for further investigations.
