Request to move Gamini Senarath case to Supreme Court rejected

Colombo (News1st): A request made by defense counsel to suspend the case filed against Former President's Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath and three others at the Permanent High Court Trial at Bar and move it to the Supreme Court was rejected today (November 02). The Trial at Bar stressed as ordered previously the recording of evidence in the case will take place daily from the 07th of November. The Attorney General filed the case against Former President's Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath, Piyadasa Kuda Balage, Neil Bandara Hapuhinna and Lasantha Bandara under 24 charges including the misappropriation of Rs. 500 Million from Litro Gas Company.
