Court orders Chief of Defence's arrest

Colombo (News1st): Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake ordered the Criminal Investigations Department to arrest Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne and produce him in court on or before the 09th of November. This is over the charge of aiding and abetting Lieutenant Commander Chandana Prasad Hettiarachchi. The Magistrate strongly reprimanded the Criminal Investigations Department for failing to implement the orders given by court previously regarding the Chief of Defence Staff.
