Minister Wasantha Senanayake states he has not switched parties and was not offered privileges

Colombo (News 1st) – With the recent spate of crossovers there have been allegations MPs are being paid large sum of monies to switch their allegiance.

Wasantha Senanayake who was on the the side of the UNP, was recently sworn in as the Minister of Tourism and Wildlife of the Mahinda Rajapaksa administration. Senanayake when questioned by a journalist is he switched sides for personal gains, he denied such allegations and said he has not switched parties and that several people have in the past accepted portfolios on the invitation of the President. He added this is to run a government and is a lawful task.
