Colombo (News1st): Attorney at Law Maithri Gunaratne who arrived at the Newsline program as the guest this morning was questioned about the diplomatic community's call for constitutionally acceptable action. He responded by stating that the same international community who is voicing their concerns today were silent when elections were continuously postponed under PM Wickremesinghe. He noted that if this situation happened under the tenure of Mahinda Rajapaksa, foreign missions would have caused mayhem. He reminded that as of now 6 provincial councils had been dissolved and that there was no dissent or concern expressed by the international community about restoring democracy or the franchise of the people.
