Substandard vehicles in driving schools to be eliminated

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Motor Traffic is to take strict action to combat the use of substandard vehicles at driving schools across the country. Commissioner of the Department Sunil Jayaweera said that all learners schools will be subjected to inspection from next month. In addition, all vehicles that comply with the required standards will have a sticker pasted on them by the Department. Driving lessons will not be allowed in all vehicles that do not carry this sticker with effect from next year.
