Angunokolapelessa prison protest continues

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The protest that was launched yesterday (October 21) by the remand prisoners of the Angunukolapelessa prison is still ongoing. Speaking to News 1st, a senior official at the Prisons Ministry said that around 50 inmates have joined the protest. The protest was launched yesterday atop a prison tower in objection of the search operations commenced by the Police STF.
