13 fishermen missing over the year

Colombo (News1st): The Department of fisheries and aquatic resources say, 13 fishermen engaged in fishing activities have gone missing over the past year. The assistant director in charge from department's research unit Padmapriya Thisera said search operations are continuing to find the missing fishermen. The details of the fishermen have been provided to the Sri Lankan embassies in foreign countries through the Ministry of Foreign affairs. He further noted that the six fishermen have been pronounced dead over the past few months.
