COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Austria, Priyani Wijesekera was given notice to return to the country by the 1st of November. Foreign Secretary, Prasad Kariyawasam stated that ambassador Wijesekara was recalled as her tenure had ended.
President Maithripala Sirisena recently issued orders to recall the ambassador and her staff after they failed to respond to the president's phone calls.
The Embassy of Austria also offers diplomatic missions to Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
