Racketeer arrested in Panadura

COLOMBO (News 1st) - In a raid carried out by the Panadura Division Law Enforcement Unit, an individual engaged in vehicle racketing was arrested along with six vehicles in his possession. The Police confirmed that the suspect had engaged in the process of renting vehicles and selling it to new owners for several years. The value of the apprehended vehicles exceeds Rs. 30 million. The police added that the arrested vehicle racketeer had also engaged in defrauding money from people with false promises of providing foreign employment. The suspect is due to be produced before the Panadura Magistrate Court today (October 11).
