Over 2,200 social media related complaints - SLCERT

Colombo (News1st): Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) says over 2,200 social media related complaints have been received so far this year. Its Senior Information Security Engineer, Roshan Chandragupta said 80% of the complaints received so far were on fake Facebook profiles. He added that 3,600 social media related complaints were received last year. Roshan Chandragupta said many complaints could be minimized by protecting the data shared and by not associating unknown person via social media platforms including Facebook.
