Civil society representatives named to the Constitutional Council

Colombo (News1st) - Parliament has approved the appointment of three civil society activists to the Constitutional Council. Accordingly, Dr. Jayantha Danapala, Ahamed Javed Yusuf and Naganadan Selvakumaran were approved to be appointed to the Constitutional Council. The nominations were made by the Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader inline with the powers vested in them through the Parliament.
