COLOMBO (News 1st) – Meteorologist, Shanika Piyumali Dissanayake stated that the highest rainfall of 65mm was recorded in Colombo. Ratmalana, Trincomalee, and Rathnapura recorded a rainfall of 42.4 mm, 42mm and 37.6 mm respectively.
She added that the prevailing conditions are expected to worsen due to the concentration of a depression in the low-pressure area that was developing in the Bay of Bengal.
