Weather affects nearly 400 people in Colombo

Colombo (News1st): Many roads have been inundated as a result of heavy rainfall experienced in several districts across the island including Colombo, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, and Puttalam. Vehicular movement in several areas have been affected and houses have also been damaged. Nearly 400 people have been affected by heavy rains in the Colombo district alone. District secretary Sunil Kannangara said many alternative routes in Kesbewa, Maharagama, and Kolonnawa have been inundated following heavy rainfall.
