Colombo (News1st): Two firearms were stolen from a state bank at the Gonapala junction in Moragahahena. According to the Police, the suspects have not yet been identified.
The police added that the robbers had entered the bank last night (October 06) by digging a hole on a side wall of the bank.
However, the attempt to rob cash from the safe had failed, as a result, the Police suspect that the robbers had taken the weapons which were stored for security purposes of the bank. The Moragahahena police has begun further investigations.
