MR denies secret meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena

Colombo (News1st): Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived at the Kegalle Remand Prison today (October 07) to inspect the well being of Parliamentarian Johnston Fernando. There were various reports circulating that the former President had engaged in a secretive discussion with the President recently. Journalists questioned former President Mahinda Rajapaksa as he was leaving the remand prison on the authenticity of such reports. The former President flatly rejected these reports stating that "no such meeting took place last Sunday."
