Weather: Prevailing conditions to continue

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Meteorology Department has forecast heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm in;

• North-western province
• North-Central province
• Central province
• Uva province
• Sabaragamuwa province
• Jaffna district

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Western, Southern and Northern coastal areas. The department says that the prevailing showery condition is expected to continue over the island during the next few days due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
