Three police officers suspended over the escape of female suspect in Hikkaduwa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Three police officers were suspended following the escape of a female suspect from custody in Hikkaduwa. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunesekara said that a Police constable and two police inspectors were suspended. The suspect was arrested for the possession of over 2 grams of Heroin. Two police teams have been deployed to apprehend the escapee.
