Individual arrested at BIA with Gold worth Rs. 13 Million

COLOMBO (News 1st): An individual has been arrested by Sri Lanka Customs at the Bandaranaike International Airport while in possession of a stock of gold worth Rs. 13 million. According to Deputy Customs Media spokesperson Vipula Minuwanpitiya, the suspect had 20 gold biscuits which weigh 100 grams each hidden in his luggage. The arrested suspect had travelled to Sri Lanka from Dubai and is a resident of Nittambuwa. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
