Ministry of Health to recruit Hospital Administrative Officers

Colombo (News1st): Ministry of Health has taken steps to recruit qualified personnel as Hospital Administration Officers for the positions which have been vacant for nearly 8 years. Additional secretary of the ministry Dr. Sunil de Alwis said, 145 such posts are currently vacant. The administrative duties of base and general hospitals are carried out by acting officers. He further added that interviews for the positions have been called after taking into consideration of the applications received from certified doctors. Appointments will be made after the selected candidates list is forwarded to the Public Service Commission.
