1 hour strike at the BIA

Colombo (News 1st) - Employees attached to the Bandaranaike International Airport branch of the Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya, engaged in a strike for about an hour last night. The strike was held to protest against customs officials taking into custody a BIA worker for questioning. The strike ended after the employee was released. Customs Officials said the statement was recorded after notifying the heads of the Airport.
