Loss borne by the sale of fuel risen

Colombo (News1st): The loss borne by the sale of a liter of petrol and diesel has risen due to the continuing depreciation of the rupee value. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation said the loss incurred by a liter of petrol is Rs. 12 and the loss incurred from the sale of a litre of diesel is Rs. 18. When News1st inquired from the Petroleum Corporation on this regard, Its Secretary Upali Maarasinghe said steps have been taken to supply fuel without any shortfall despite the loss incurred.
