IGP to recommend new DIG for TID

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The National Police Commission has informed the IGP to submit recommendations for the post of DIG in charge of the Terrorism Investigation Division.

Secretary of the Commission, Saman Dissanayake stated the new appointment will be made based on the recommendations of the IGP.

When News1st Inquired into the matter from Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunesekara, he said that recommendations for the appointment will be made soon.

DIG Nalaka De Silva who has been charged with allegations of conspiring to assassinate the President and the Former Defence Secretary has been currently sent on compulsory leave.
